MW Imaging, a leading third-party vendor for diagnostic ultrasound service, parts, probes, and probe

repair has an immediate opening for a qualified In-house Engineer/Technician. This new position is

located in our corporate office in St. Charles, MO.

Senior PCB Repair Engineer – Ultrasound


SUMMARY: Based in St. Charles, MO, this position is responsible for in-house technical support and

PCB repair for premium ultrasound imaging products within the scope of our nationwide customer

base. This role includes in-house ultrasound system and PCB troubleshooting and repair. This new

position is unique requiring both highly technical skills and participation in the customer service

process; it is both tactical and strategic, which will be essential to the success of the service/repair

growth of high end ultrasound products.


ESSENTIAL DUTIES and RESPONSIBILITIESInclude the following, other duties may be assigned

  • Serve as customer facing technical resource and work in collaboration with biomedical engineers and other radiology/cardiology staff


  • In-house troubleshooting and resolving complex technical problems on ultrasound equipment in a repair lab environment


  • Use effective troubleshooting techniques to respond to complex technical issues for the end user both on-site and in-house


  • Identify problems and coordinate appropriate corrective and preventive action


  • Ability to troubleshoot and repair printed circuit boards to the component level


  • Manage escalated technical issues in a timely and effective manner. Ensure escalation situations are managed and corrected quickly and professionally


  • Stay current with product platform changes and specifications by attending training as required in order to be proficient in service and repair of all systems


  • Maintain advanced system operational and service understanding in order to provide service/technical support and to resolve issues independently


  • Log all support issues and information into the service database thereby assisting in the build of our corrective action systems


  • Maintain effective quality systems and programs compliant with ISO 13485 standard


  • Present a positive, professional image that reflects well on MW Imaging


  • Self-directed, team player, able to prioritize and effectively handle multiple service issues at one time


  • Complete all administrative tasks on time. Ensure timely completion of FSRs and PM inspection documentation


  • Follow all company policies regarding travel, expenses, meetings and meals



QUALIFICATIONS: The successful candidate will possess the following qualifications

  • Minimum 5 years experience in component level PCB repair


  • Technical degree in electrical engineering, or other related discipline (military) or equivalent experience required. Bachelor’s degree in Electronic Engineering Technology or Electrical Engineering and experience with Siemens, Philips or GE Ultrasound a plus.


  • Experience with mechanical devices, tools and test equipment, and working knowledge of computer networking


  • Demonstrated proficiency in PCB component level repair


  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
